Notes from 1st meeting:

Hey Folks,

Thanks to those who made it out on Friday. Attached are the documents that we handed out at the meeting. They were the root of our discussion, however we weren’t able to cover everything. These are the major points I got out of the discussion. Please reply to everyone if you can add further points from our discussion that I haven’t touched upon.

  1. Ray will help coordinate the day to day tasks that are needed to progress this aspect of the league, Director of Admissions or Membership, if you will.

  1. A part of being a member of the league is helping out in running it. We will put together a list of tasks that need to be done, how much time is needed to accomplish the task and coordinate among the league members getting the tasks done. At various points we’ll need to establish whether a task can be handled by membership volunteerism or if we need to pay someone to get the task done. We’ll sort these guidelines out as we progress. We will keep track of who is doing what so all the membership can be aware of what is being accomplished and who is doing it.

  1. We’ll have 2 types of team membership next year: Full League Member and Exhibition Member. Details are in the “Primer” attachment. It needs more work, but feel free to comment on what’s written already.

  1. Individuals can get involved through our open pick-up games, Intermingle league circuit and by playing with the Wanderers.

  1. There are more specifics to get into to define what is expected from membership, features that members are entitled to and what is expected to become a member. I’ll work on these details shortly beyond what is already written in the attachments.

  1. Payment for everything will be handled ahead of time. There won’t be any payments at the specific events (i.e. Exhibition teams pay before any game is scheduled for them and individuals will have to pay ahead of time before they come out for any games).

Again, please “reply all” with any details from the meeting that you remember that haven’t been covered here.

Thanks,

Tom
